Terms of use
What this site is, and what it isn't.
Plain terms for a site with no account, no purchase and no service attached to it. The important part is the first section.
Last updated 9 September 2026.
This is not medical advice
SafeHere is an advocacy organisation. We are not a clinic, a practice, a treatment provider or a crisis service, and nothing on this site is medical, psychological or legal advice.
Reading this site does not create any clinical or professional relationship between you and us. Information here is general, it cannot account for your situation, and it is not a substitute for assessment by a qualified professional. Please don't delay seeking help, or disregard advice you've been given, because of something you read here.
In an emergency
- This site is not monitored and cannot respond to anyone in crisis.
- If you are in immediate danger, call 144 or 112.
- The crisis page lists lines that are staffed 24 hours.
We never ask you for money
We don't take public donations, run campaigns, or sell anything. There is no payment path on this site of any kind. If anyone solicits money in our name, it is not us — please tell us at hello@safehere.org.
Accuracy, and its limits
We verify every figure against the body that produced it, name that body, and re-check statistics annually and crisis numbers every six months. We still can't guarantee that a phone number hasn't changed this morning, or that an external service hasn't altered its hours.
If you find something wrong on this site, tell us and we will fix it. That applies especially to the numbers on the crisis page.
Links to other organisations
We link to public services, helplines and other organisations because we think they are useful. We don't control them and listing one is not an endorsement of everything it does. Your dealings with them are between you and them.
Using our material
The research and figures here exist to be used. Take them for a school project, a policy submission, an article or a talk — ideally citing the original source body rather than us, since they did the counting.
Our name, logo and the photographs remain with their respective owners. The photographs are licensed stock and are credited in the source files. Please don't present yourself as speaking for SafeHere, or imply we endorse something we haven't seen.
No warranty
This site is provided as it is, without guarantees that it will be available, complete or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from use of the site or from any external service we link to.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change when we do.
